Synchronous Display Screens: Synchronous displays operate in sync with a computer monitor. They use a transmitter card (video processor) to transmit video, image, and other data from the computer to the LED display in real time, synchronizing the content displayed on the LED display with that on the computer monitor. The update rate is typically at least 30 frames per second. This allows them to support a wide range of video content, including 2D or 3D animations, videos, TV, DVDs, and live events. During large-scale live events, such as the Spring Festival Gala and the Olympic Opening Ceremony, synchronized displays can present exciting footage to the audience in real time, making them feel as if they were there. Large screens in shopping malls’ atrias can play the latest movie trailers and brand promotional videos. Asynchronous Display Screens: Asynchronous displays offer both offline display and network control capabilities. After editing text, images, and other information on a PC, these contents can be transferred to the LED display via a serial port or other network interface, allowing the display to automatically play offline. It doesn’t require a real-time computer connection, making operation and management simpler and more convenient than synchronous systems. It’s often used for displaying static text, such as on subway trackside advertising screens. Advertising content is pre-programmed into the screen, and it plays in a loop according to a set schedule and sequence, delivering various commercials, public service announcements, and other information to passengers. Small storefront signage displays also often use asynchronous displays, scrolling through simple information such as the store name, business hours, and promotions.
